Layer by layer by layer. We keep forgetting. And that’s a good thing.
We need to forget.
With every breath, we can unlearn something that is not us.
Every time we sit, and breathe, and cultivate mindfulness, we forget a little more. We forget about being told how to act. We forget the words that made us feel less-than. We forget the self-doubt and the self-criticism and the self-consciousness. We forget about the act that we’ve been playing, and begin to remember that under all those layers, we are alive. And well.
Under those layers is a heart, and a soul, and a bright light that is up to great things. Under those layers is a deep desire to love ourselves and those around us.
Under those layers is connection, and the possibility for deeper relationships.
Under those layers is a being who has purpose and passion.
Under those layers is you. Come out into the light and shine.
Your life depends on it.
And now the practice of yoga begins…
Namaste.
Today’s Meditation is a Yoga Nidra. It’s a bit longer, designed to create deep rest. You might consider doing this one just before bed.
