I’m so glad you opted in, and so honored to be your guide through this 30-Day journey of transformation.
Whether you consider yourself a Gumby or a Tin-Man, I promise that if you dedicate this month to getting on a yoga mat, every day, you WILL change.
Some things to know:
Yoga is about more than just poses. A LOT more. But this is where we start. Breathing, slowing down, moving and feeling.
Set aside time every day for just that. Start with 5 minutes, and on days when you have more time, stay longer.
People who get up a little earlier and practice first thing tend to stick with the commitment better than those who wait for life to clear for them. Set your alarm a few minutes earlier. Keep your mat by your bed and try moving a little first thing.
This is time for YOU. A gift to yourself. Put it in the calendar. Tell people you’re doing yoga…every day. You’re worth the time, and you will reap the benefits.
Some Tools that Help:
- A Yoga Mat
You don’t have to spend a lot of money. A 1/8 inch sticky mat gives you more grip and stability in the poses. If you have tender knees, wrists or elbows, get a thicker mat. But keep in mind, the thicker mats are not as grippy, and tend to slip around more. Here’s our favorite from Hugger Mugger - A yoga block.
This brings the floor closer to you, and helps you support your body. Here’s one - A yoga strap
Even a belt or rope will do, but yoga straps are more comfy on your feet and hands. Like This
A yoga bolster. These are great for the relaxation parts of class. Use a bolster for sitting, or under your knees when lying on your back. Treat Yourself
None of these are necessary, but they definitely help.
Watch your inbox…I’ll see you there every morning, for a Month on (and off) the Mat!
Namaste,
