I have always had a desire to be a light to others. To make big changes in the world and the way that we treat each other. I just didn’t know how. Then I found this Teacher Training course.
I’ve learned that while it is something to gain knowledge and experience and work on yourself, it is entirely another to take that knowledge and growth and learning and pass it on to someone else.
The most important thing I have received from this training is “Light”. And the most important thing I can do with my training is share the Light with someone who needs it. I am a stand for the abused and neglected; for service and teaching; for love, and changing the world to make it a better place.
“I am only one, but I am ONE. I cannot do everything, but I can do SOMETHING. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.” ~ Edward Everett Hale

Love – a purer love, is my greatest take away among many from the Yoga Assets Teacher Transformation. It blew my expectations out of the water.

After reading through my journal entries, I can see how my focus toward this course has evolved. In the beginning, I believed I was entering into this Teacher Training to become better educated about doing yoga myself, regardless of the “Teacher” title of the class. After participating in this class, it has pushed me into thinking like a teacher of others, as well as myself.

My journey with Yoga Assets has been one of self-observation and growth. I feel that I have become more observant and patient towards others.
I had different expectations as to what would be taught in this study of yoga. I soon realized that I truly didn’t understand what yoga really is. The class on Altruism was my aha moment – best described by this quote by Bernard Meltzer, “There is no better exercise for your heart than reaching down and helping lift someone up”.
Of course, I anticipated learning the yoga poses. I really appreciate the attention to detail in teaching the correct body postures in yoga poses and flows. The thirty hours spent on anatomy were well worth the time. I loved learning about our amazing bodies and the way muscles, bones, connective tissue all work together to help us be stable and mobile.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Yoga Assets family. Thank you for having such a wonderful program to grow and learn from.
